As well as being the parish priest, the Rev'd Ernest Geldart was also an accomplised artist and architect. All the paintings and windows were compelted by him between 9th August 1881 & 5th October 1884

The only way to really experience the uniqueness of
St Nicholas is to visit. The church is open during daylight hours and their is a leaflet explaining all the amazing paintings.
